Candidate obligations

For Participation in a Certification Examination

  • Time of arrival at the examination center: at least thirty (30) minutes before the start of the certification examination.
  • After the start of the examination, candidates are prohibited from entering the examination area.
  • Required supporting documents for each candidate to participate in the examination:
    the certification card and the original of the identification form that he had shown and a photocopy of which he had submitted with the certification application.
  • Items allowed in the examination area: thermos/container with water or soft drink.
  • Items prohibited in the examination area:
    any type of electronic storage media (e.g., removable USB drives) and
    any type of image/audio/video recording devices (e.g., cameras).
    It is noted that, upon approval by the invigilators of the specific examination, any type of telecommunication devices (e.g., mobile phones) are permitted inside the examination area, but only when deactivated. The invigilators have the discretion to confiscate the devices for the duration of the examination of their owners.
  • Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the examination area. It is prohibited for any candidate to temporarily leave the examination area due to smoking while his/her examination is in progress. It is noted that, before the start or in the intervals between examinations of two subjects, smoking is permitted inside the special area provided by the examination center or outside the examination center.

During the Certification Examination

The behavior of candidates during the examination should be governed by the known rules of discipline and decency. They must immediately comply with any instructions and recommendations of the invigilators. Failure to comply with the above may even result in their exclusion from the examination, which is considered failed and scored with zero (0).
The activation and use of telecommunication devices (e.g., mobile phones) in their possession is prohibited, if they have not been confiscated by the invigilators, for the duration of the examination.
When an attempt is detected to copy answers or actions/methods and generally to impede the smooth conduct of the examinations and alter their results, the individuals who committed this are excluded from the examination, which is considered failed and scored with zero (0).
It is prohibited for any candidate to temporarily leave the examination room while their examination is in progress without the approval of the invigilators. Their stay outside the examination room is accompanied by one of the invigilators for the entire time.
It is prohibited for candidates to remain inside the examination room beyond the completion of their examination.

Certificate Use

The Certificates of Knowledge, Skills issued by the Body and the copies resulting from them can be used exclusively for proving the level of knowledge, skills and/or abilities of the certified natural person, as documented in the certificate. The certificates can be used in any legal case in which official proof of certification in the specific knowledge subject(s) is required.

Obligations of Certificate Holders

The Certified Natural Person is obliged to:

  • declare that he holds a certificate, which will be displayed only for the subjects for which he has been certified,
  • not use the certificate and not make any statement regarding the certification in a manner that may be perceived as misleading,
  • immediately cease all use and reference to the certificate, if it is suspended for any reason,
  • immediately return any certification document to the Body, if the issued certificate is revoked for any reason,
  • comply with the requirements of the General Regulation for the Certification of Natural Persons.

Irregular Use of Certificates – Revocation

Irregular use of certificates may be established either by the Body or by any interested party, after submitting to the Body any explanatory information that will help form a comprehensive view of the matter.

Any case regarding:

  • non-compliance with all relevant regulations of the certification system,
  • referring to the certificate for proof of knowledge, skills and/or abilities outside the scope of the granted certification,
  • using the certificate in a manner that damages the reputation of the Body,
  • submitting a statement by the certified person regarding his certification, which the Body may consider either misleading or illegal, or
  • using the certificate or part thereof in a manner that creates incorrect conclusions.

In these cases, the Body may proceed to the withdrawal/revocation of the certificate and at the same time to the exercise of legal measures.

In any case of improper use of certificates, publication is made at least on the Body’s website and, where required, in the media, printed or otherwise.
