Specifications for examination centers
The necessary specifications that an examination center must meet are the following:
- Provision of at least one (1) secure and locked storage/archiving area for the Body’s examination material.
- Provision of e-mail.
- Provision of at least one (1) single and autonomous examination area, distinct from its other areas, which are not used for certification exams.
- Ensuring that all participants in the certification examination process (e.g., examinees, invigilators, etc.) have the necessary health and safety conditions, as defined in applicable legislation.
- Ensuring that persons with disabilities (PWDs) have safe access from the entrance to the Examination Center to the examination area, if PWD specifications are met.
- ADSL type Internet connection with a speed of at least 2 Mbps.
The necessary specifications that the Examination Rooms must meet are as follows:
- Properly equipped for the proper conduct of the examinations (e.g. with ergonomic chairs and desks) and not underground.
- Coverage of all fire and electrical safety specifications.
- Provision of natural ventilation, natural lighting, heating and cooling.
- Minimum area of two (2) sq.m. per examinee and a minimum distance of one (1) meter between the examinees’ computer screens.
- Sufficient number of computers and necessary peripheral equipment per examination room.
- Necessary operating system and application software on each active computer.
- Full installation of the examined applications with all their recent updates on each computer.
- Ensuring Internet access for each computer.
- Local network speed of at least 100 Mbps.
- Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Assurance.
