Examinations at PASS
Examination Procedure
For the Certification Examinations, PASS developed examination questions based on “case studies”, where candidates are asked to act appropriately in order to achieve the desired results, and “closed-ended” questions, where candidates must, for example, choose from the given answers the one they consider correct (multiple choice questions) or record the answer or complete the missing text from a sentence (fill-in-the-blank questions) or select the correct part of an image (hot spot questions), etc.
Within the time period of each certification examination period, candidates must implement the requirements of its questions, but have the opportunity to check their answers and make possible corrections before confirming completion.
In the event of a re-examination, due to failure, in a certification subject, the examination system developed by the PASS Body will ensure that the same set of examination topics does not appear.
Instructions for Participation in the Examination
Individuals who wish to participate in certification examinations should:
- Apply to a certified Examination Center in the area that serves them, so that the Certification Card can be issued.
- 2. Submit to the examination center the Certification Application, a photocopy of a valid form of identification[1] and any additional supporting documents requested, so that the Certification Card can be issued. This card either remains in storage at the examination center or is collected by the candidates. It contains their personal information, the certification category, the subjects examined, their performance in these examinations, as well as instructions for its use. The card must be presented at each participation in the certification examinations conducted by the PASS Agency.
- Contact a certified examination center, even if different from the one where the certification card was issued, at least 48 hours before the scheduled certification exams are held, in order to register for them, indicating the subjects in which they wish to be tested. The contact and registration can be made either by telephone or by sending an email to this center.
- Come to the examination center where they registered for their participation, presenting the certification card and the original of the identification document they had shown and a photocopy of which they had submitted with the certification application. It is noted that, in case of failure, candidates are re-examined with the same certification card, following steps 3 and 4.
- Receive their Certificate from the examination center, where the Certification Card was issued, within a maximum period of ten (10) working days, after their successful participation in the last examined subject of the certification they applied for. Receipt of a Certificate from another examination center can only be made upon request of the examination center and its approval by the PASS Body.
